The Bartók Archives of the Institute for Musicology, Research Center of the Humanities, Budapest, will celebrate its 60th birthday on 29 October 2021 at 4pm at the Institute’s Bartók Hall.
Welcome addresses will be delivered by Vice President of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences VANDA LAMM and Director General of the Research Center of the Humanities BALÁZS BALOGH.
Bartók’s SIX DANCES IN BULGARIAN RHYTHM (from MIKROKOSMOS) will be performed on the piano by FÜLÖP RÁNKI.
The Institute’s new umbrella website BÉLA BARTÓK’S WORKS will be presented by Director PÁL RICHTER; Head of the Bartók Archives LÁSZLÓ VIKÁRIUS, and Research Fellows MÁRTON KERÉKFY and VIOLA BIRÓ.
SÁNDOR KOVÁCS will conduct a conversation on the CRITICAL EDITION OF MIKROKOSMOS with editor YUSUKE NAKAHARA.
The chamber exhibition ZOLTÁN SZÉKELY’S LETTERS TO BÉLA BARTÓK will be opened by LÁSZLÓ VIKÁRIUS.
